Flow is a term that can be found in Turner’s Book, “Image and Pilgrimage in Christian Culture.” In class we talked about flow and what it means. Dr. Redick described flow as something that makes things more real. It when you are unaware of how focused you are. You are fully immersed in what you are doing, and once you realize it, your “flow” is gone. When I think of flow I think of being in the zone. I tried to think if I had ever experienced flow. I soon realized that I would always experience it during sports. In baseball, when a pitcher is in the zone, for example if he is throwing a no-hitter his teammates will leave him alone to not distract or jinx him. Almost every someone mentions that he is throwing a no-hitter he immediately realizes he is in the zone and gives up a hit. I thought this just existed in baseball but now I can see that “flow” can take place anywhere.
