Lisa Fontanez, gardening 4/1

Coming from a mother who is very much into nature and the Earth, I have grown to have a respect for it. She would take me into her garden and we would plant, pick weeds and just talk. We still do to this day at the house we have in Chester. It is an amazing, calming atmosphere that allows for such talks. I have learned a lot about her through those moments we spent out int he yard. There are those who do not find it as fun and interesting as I do but I did grow up with it as a natural part of my life. She did always have us play sports and remain active but that was great too because we would spend a lot of time outside anyways. It was were we liked to spend our time and it is kind of sad that a lot of my time is not spent inside, but I find ways to catch some rays outside.
