After hearing the stories by Prof Redick, I have this burning desire to walk and experience the Appalachian Trail and being able to feel that kind of a natural communitas. I have been on various outdoor girl scouting camps and trips, the most memorable one was the canoeing trip that I took down a river in Germany for five days. There were twelve of us, two leaders and ten girls, and we all camped out together enduring it all together. It was the closest I have ever grown close to. We grew to love and enjoy each others’ company as well as trust one another. We would just canoe, experience the nature as well as stop and enjoy the sceneries. The trip was breath taking and amazing.
