Ryan Wilson, Liminality

Liminality. I am not surprised to find that Microsoft word underlines this term in red, suggesting to me that it is not yet an established English word. I understand that new concepts and ideas that turn out to be legitimate later on take time to be recognized, but I am already skeptical. Based on what I gathered, being liminal means being in between two entities. So, being in college but not yet a graduate, I am in a liminal state. Having left my house, yet not quite at class, I am in a liminal state. Having been alive for 19 years now, yet not dead, I am in a liminal state. I have a week of finals approaching, classes are almost over – but not yet. I am liminal. Liminality.
