Daniel Bogert "Search for Beauty"

I've noticed that Dr. Redick also teaches a class called "The Search for Beauty". Although I know very little about this class, I am intrigued by the title. I feel I've been searching for beauty my whole life. I often only catch fleeting glimpses of it, but the way I feel in those moments hits right at the core of my soul. When you truly experience the beautiful it feels like you are transported to heaven for those brief moments. After feeling that you really only want more of the same feeling. But it's usually hard to find. As I've thought about what I want to do with my life, I think it will have to revolve around beauty in some way. I want to be an artist; the creator of beautiful things. My main interests are music and storytelling. I think the purpose of an artist is to find or create beauty and share it with the world. These fleeting moments of beauty are the only things that make life worth living. They are what give life meaning. I wish it was easier to find, but for now, the quest continues.
