Today I ran the Noland Trail. I brought a journal with me to write down my thoughts about the surrounding nature. A selection of the journal reads, “I can see the water through the trees. I see a place up ahead where I can get a better view. I look out at the water and it is beautiful, but what amazes me most is how perfect the cutout in the woods is. Bushes, trees and other plants create a wall that blocks my view. However, here it seems that nature has created a perfect window so that I can gaze out at the water. I wanted to see the water, and just a few moments later nature provides me with a perfect panoramic view with trees and branches as its picture frame. I can’t help but wonder whether the cutout in the woods was a coincidence or not. It almost seems as if it is a gift from nature. It couldn’t be more perfect.”
