Ron Tecson Post#3 "Tahoma- The Mountain that was God" 4/19

Mythic Landscapes: The mountain that was God, is one of my favorite chapter in Lane's "Landscapes of the Sacred" book. Lane discussed his experience on his way driving to the National forest on Mount Rainier. Lane and his wife experience the majestic "Godness" of the mountain when they had a hard time driving in the slopes. Lane described that they have "entered" the place and it was reluctant to let them go.
Lane was so amazed by the greatness of the place that he felt like he should leave something behind as a gift, his appreciation for what the mountain had been for him. But he realized that he did not have anything that he can leave behind, so he decided to give his blessing to the little trees. I think we should be like Lane and start thinking how can we give back to Nature since Nature has been good to us for quite a long time now. It is our turn to give back!
