In the book that we have to read, Landscapes of the Sacred, in the beginning, he states that a characteristic of the sacred is that the accounts are more than just random. This is interesting to me because to be honest, a notion that I held was that since they do not always come to everyone and they do always come to those who seek the experience that they were in a way kind of random. They sometimes come to people unintentionally which can be seen as random.
