Kyle Tobin My Own Flow Experience
As discussed before, a flow experience is the human mind feeling a sort of excelled form of focus, in which all surrounding become non-existent. Playing tennis for a share portion of my life, I can relate to this excelled form of focus. A couple of times I have experienced this excelled form of focus in tennis matches and in practice. I have been playing a match and not realizing the score or who was watching is it that I played my highest level of tennis. I did not even realize I was in this excelled form of focus until after I was done playing and I looked back at how I was unable to remember any small actions occurring around me. I feel that there is no real way to tell someone certain techniques or how to go about experiencing a "flow" because the mind does it subconsciously. If I was able to go into this excelled for of focus on control, I feel as if I would be able to doing anything from academics to lifting more in the gym to a better degree. Furthermore, there has been a lot of talk about experiencing this excelled form of focus as being a stepping stone to reaching a liminal state. I feel as if this could be true because it is the mind going into a new form of thinking, which spurs mind to become more creative and imaginative.
