Kyle Tobin Noland Trail
One fine weekday in the spring when the weather was exceptionally beautiful did I go for a run on the Noland Trail. I told myself before starting that I would run half of it and then stop at the Lions Gate Bridge for a five minutes break. On the first leg of my run I passed a lot of children, adults, and pets enjoying the nice weather instead of being at home watching t.v. or something. I witnessed a lot of flowers blooming and a hodge podge of birds singing their different songs throughout the trees. Stopping at the Lions Gate Bridge was an awesome site because the sun reaching its highest point of the day was glimmering of the James River. Continuing my run I came across a man in full hiking gear, pack and all. After passing him I realized it was the one and only Dr. Kip Redick enjoying a nice stroll with hiking gear attached. I finished my run feeling good and wanting some water, but being in the wilderness that day created good memories and time well spent.
