Austin Kaseman "Convinced"

After numerous stories told by Professor Redick, seeing pictures of beautiful landscapes, and watching footage of hikes, I've been convinced to attempt one of these hikes. I've never actually been hiking for days at a time, but I'm definitely willing to give it a try. My house in rural Northern Virginia is 10 minutes from the AT, so i've been exposed to the trial growing up.

The main medium that has convinced me to want to take one of his 2 week wilderness classes has been Professor Redick's photographs from his hikes. I'm an avid photographer who is always looking for new locations to shoot. The landscapes in Redick's pictures that hikers encounter on these trails are unlike others people are exposed to in every day life. Not only have I wanted to experience what nature fully has to offer, but hiking a trail for 2 weeks or so would be an amazing photography opportunity for myself. I haven't looked into one of Professor Redick's outdoor classes, but if the opportunity would present itself, I would definitely be one of the first to attempt to join.
